APRIL 2016

ONE Musicfest is one of the hottest music festivals in the country. We are very happy to have been able to shoot and edit the brand’s Living Proof :: Women of Whiskey event. The evening consisted of a performance by Tweet and dozens of inspirational women, including Keisha Knight Pulliam and Shanti Das, who have shattered all glass ceilings. Thanks to our ONE Musicfest friends for letting us capture this awesome night:

Beats & Eats was a new event for the CBS Radio Atlanta cluster + it was a really good time! Perfect venue, awesome entertainment via the DJs (Jaycee, Cowboy + PNut) and the amazing Ro James. Thanks to our CBS friends for letting us participate:

FEBRUARY 2016

It was an education + a privilege to shoot the one and only L.A. Reid for our V-103 family. The shoot itself was pretty straightforward, but even so, we learned a ton – technically + from Mr. Reid – and are looking forward to making future, similar shoots even greater.

DECEMBER 2015

We had the pleasure of shooting V-103‘s first annual WINTERFEST, featuring 112, Jagged Edge, Silk, BBD, Tyrese + Keith Sweat. It was our first time working as a team in that kind of arena, but it all worked out. We learned a lot, are satisfied with how things worked + know how to make things even more awesome next time. For the short version of this video, you can jump here.

OCTOBER 2015

A couple of months ago, our friend (and certified legend) DJ Jaycee earned a spot to compete in the famous 2015 DMC US Finals. This means that he won the local battle in Atlanta and earned the opportunity to travel to New York City and compete against some of the best DJs in the country for the chance to travel to London for the world championship.

He trusted us to shoot and edit his introduction video for the event. In it, he discussed the competition, his influences and what he does to keep his skills at such a high level. Below is the result.

In regards to what we learned on this assignment, this shoot and edit served as practice runs for the shooting + editing formats we are considering for our documentary feature. We learned a lot – including a lesson in making sure that the color correction on both cameras was as close as possible before moving and going ahead and shooting! We scrapped some things for the future – like shooting in front of whiteboards – and kept others. Overall and as always, we learned many things while spending time with Jaycee.

To read what happened on Jaycee’s trip to NYC, you can jump here. And oh boy, is it a read.
